Northeast Meet and Greet – West Point Combat Classic – Spring 2010

Fellow Operator,

Approved by none other than Big Daddy and being planned by Damfino, The Bear, Doc, and myself we present to you the First Annual Northeast Meet and Greet. With all the success of the OG Meet and Greet we decided that the Northeast needs to get in this action and have our very own Meet and Greet.

We have decided that the game will be at West Point’s Combat Classic in the Spring.

Here is the info we have so far:

DATE: April 17-18, 2010
LOCATION: West Point, New York (Located near Lake Frederick)
PRICE: $35-45 registration for two days. Paint is $65 - 70 a case.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Camping on site is available with registration.
There are some hotels in the vicinity for the panzies out there who don't want to break a nail (Just kidding!).
Food is available but be prepared incase they run out (in other words food might be a good idea to bring food for yourself and/or your team, more plans along these lines will be made later)

So far we have an idea of possibly getting a shirt made for the Meet and Greet much like the OG Meet and Greet, this will help identify each other as a member of the OG when the shirts are worn. We need some ideas for a shirt design, and we want to make it look good, but also keep it simple to keep the cost down. If you have any ideas post up.

There are other ideas being tossed around and more information will be released as we get it.

If you have any other ideas post them up.

Also if you are in need of a ride, post your location or at least general vicinity so that plans can be worked out for a carpool.

FYI, everyone attending.
We invited both commanders, and both accepted.
Now you must be on your best behavior.

Final Information for the Meet & Greet

Briefly

· Time: April 16, Friday night, 7PM to 9PM+

· We will be taking up money ($10) between 7 and 7:30, and then calling in the order for pizzas. (All remaining money from this event will be donated to the Wounded Warriors Project in the Name of the OG forums)

· We are not necessarily camping as a group, but if you want, looking at the map, on the East (right) side of the road directly across from the M&G spot is where some of us camped last year. It is high ground and positioned well. West (left) of the M&G spot is open too, not bad, but starts to slope downhill.

· We have invited some guests to join us.

· No drinking, no cussing, no fighting, no gunfire and no spitting on the ground.

Some things you need to do.

· Go here and download the PDf files. One is a map of Lake Frederick, there are two notes imbedded in the map, click on the yellow bubbles and READ the notes. The location is on the map. You will be notified if for some reason it changes. Regardless you should look for the white SUV & pop-up trailer flying the OG flag. The other is an invitation with information on costs, times, directions to the lake, etc.

· Bring your own chair if you plan to sit a spell and chat.

What you need to do to make this easier;
· Number One, PM The Bear with your RSVP. One person can RSVP for more than one individual, but please identify those persons by name or screen name, and give us your e-mail address (if you want up-to-date information leading up to the Big game). We need a rough count to let the pizza restaurant know in advance what to expect. If you do not RSVP, you can still come, just that it would be nice to know how many, know what I’m saying?
· Bring your own chair.
· Clean up after yourself (unless you are bringing your mother).
· Don’t forget to PM Bear.
